This presentation explores the emerging role of artificial intelligence (AI) in participatory occupational therapy (OT). It covers three main questions:
- Does AI “understand” what we do as OTs?
- Do AI tools meet the needs of OT clients?
- Are AI tools consistent with OT ethical guidelines?
Overall, the presentation encourages critical reflection on both the possibilities and limitations of integrating AI into participatory OT practice – and what may be needed from OTs in the future.
