På sporet af siddestillingsanalysen i et socialt integrations-perspektiv for funktionshæmmede med siddesår

This study researches the mechanisms influencing disabled seat sore patients and their possibilities of obtaining social integration during pressure sore treatment.

The qualitative part has five spinal cord injured participants with seat sore experience - a surgeon, and two therapists.
The quantitative part includes 52 seating assessment procedures.
The results indicate that core treatment and prevention mechanisms are responsible for the absence of a social integration focus. These mechanisms are based on tradition-bound assumptions of the dispositional factor´s inevitable importance for recurrences and a limited interdisciplinary communication leaving out the possibility of  a pressure relieving technical aid adjustment using the body as a ressource.
This recognition opens for a reconceptualisation of preventing seat sore  using seating assessment as a first intervention attempt.
